Mylands Wax ( furniture paste wax ):

Mylands Wax was originally formulated over 100 years ago for antique furniture conservators and restorers. Mylands Wax has a unique formula that combines the finest natural waxes available including beeswax, carnauba and shellac wax in a toluene-free carrier. Mylands Wax Polish can be used on all interior wood surfaces over virtually any finish. Mylands Wax is easy to apply and results in a shine that is lasting and lustrous. When pigmented, Mylands Wax enhances the color of the selected original wood and secures the glow of its natural patina while diminishing surface abrasions and scratches.

About Mylands Wax:

Myland’s has been producing quality wood finishing products since 1884. Myland’s reputation as a leading supplier to furniture makers, antique restorers and craftsmen has been built upon a policy of using only the very best raw materials available, in conjunction with a rigorous quality control procedure to assure that their exacting standards are consistently met.

How To Apply Mylands Paste Wax:

Apply Mylands Paste Wax with a soft, clean cloth, brush or #0000 grade steel wool. Apply sparingly, just enough to cover with a thin coat, allow to dry (normally 5-7 minutes) and buff off with another clean, soft cloth. In the case of detailed or carved surfaces, the wax may be buffed off using a furniture brush. Additional applications of Mylands Wax will provide increased shine and protection. Note: many professionals use Mylands Clear Wax as the final coat over applications of Mylands Color Wax and Liming Wax. This technique essentially seals the finish without adding further color to the wood and contributes to added lustre, protecting the "effect".
